Application documents

Following the procedures of the visa issuance, all applicants must present a set of documents, proving their true purpose to travel to Cyprus. Depending on the purpose of the visit, each visa applicant must present the following documents:

1.         Visitors

-           Must deposit a duly filled-in and certified “Assumption of Responsibility for Hosting” form signed by the host;

-        A Bank Guarantee Letter from the host, throughout a visitor’s stay in Cyprus, so as to cover the possible cost of repatriation. Bank Guarantee Letters are issued for the amount of €513 for visitors from the CIS, and other Eastern Europe countries. The Bank Guarantee Letter shall be presented only by the applicants with the age more than 12 years old.

-        Round trip ticket with fixed dates. Ticket should not be purchased before the visa is issued;

-           A recent (less than one month old) official letter from the employer addressed to the Cyprus Consulate with proof of the applicants wages / salary. If applicant is self-employed, he must present a letter from the accountant or the bank manager of the applicant;

-           Must give an assurance that upon arrival in Cyprus he / she will have at least €60 in cash per each day of stay.

-           Besides the list of documents above, applicants must present documents proving that the host is entitled to assume the responsibility for the applicant, i.e. copy of the host passport. In case if the host is not a Cyprus citizen, then document of residence of the host (Pink slip, Yellow slip, etc.). This rule applies also to the relatives of the applicant, who live / work in Cyprus.

2.         Persons married to a Cypriot

-      Such applicants must present a Certificate of the marriage issued by either a Cyprus or a Moldovan competent authority,

or

-      A letter from the Cyprus Immigration office permitting the said person to enter Cyprus,

3.      Business visitors

-      Must deposit a duly filled-in and signed “Assumption of Responsibility for Hosting” form,

or

-      A letter from the Cyprus Company / association / organization, stating that they are acting as hosts as well as the purpose and duration of and the place of residence during the visit;

-     Round trip ticket with fixed dates. Ticket should not be purchased before the visa is issued;

-           A recent (less than one month old) official letter from the employer addressed to the Cyprus Consulate with proof of the applicants wages / salary. If applicant is self-employed, he must present a letter from the accountant or the bank manager of the applicant;

-           Solid evidence that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the intended stay in

Cyprus, e.g. a bank statement or travelers’ checks (credit cards can be accepted only in addition to bank statements and only with recent statement confirming credit limit. Cash is not an acceptable proof);

-           Must give an assurance that upon arrival in Cyprus he / she will have at least €60 in cash per each day of stay.

 

 

 

4.         Tourists

-           Must present a return ticket;

-           Prior Hotel Reservation faxed by the Hotel Manager

-           Solid evidence that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the intended stay in

Cyprus, e.g. a bank statement or travelers’ checks (credit cards can be accepted only in addition to bank statements and only with recent statement confirming credit limit. Cash is not an acceptable proof) or at least €60 per each day of stay;
